Albania's Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, has announced that one of the largest multinational military exercises, known as "Defender Europe 25", will begin on May 25.
He wrote on Facebook that the exercise will be led by the United States European Command, while adding that exercises will also take place in Kosovo.
"On May 25, Albania welcomes one of the largest multinational military exercises: Defender Europe 25, led by the US European Command (USEUCOM). NATO and partner forces will train in Albania and Kosovo for the protection of critical facilities, offensive and defensive operations, as well as for the security of key deployment points. A test of interoperability and a clear message: NATO is united," the minister wrote.
The Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, had also announced the training in Kosovo.
He had said that preparations for this massive military exercise are proceeding according to plan.
