Çitaku-Vokrrit: Represents politics that produce tension and isolation

Secretary of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Vlora Çitaku

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP, Vlora Çitaku, has reacted to the statement of the acting Deputy Minister of Local Government, Arbër Vokrri, who accused the international community of inciting several cases of unrest in the north of the country.

Çitaku said that Vokrri represents a policy that produces tension, not solutions, and isolation, not cooperation.

She further said that such statements are one of the reasons why Kosovo is "more isolated than ever before."

"This official, a typical exponent of an approach that sees internal and external enemies everywhere, represents neither the civic interest nor the vision for state-building. He represents a policy that serves only itself, a policy that produces tension, not solutions, isolation, not cooperation. When you hear such statements, it is not difficult to understand why Kosovo today is more isolated than ever before. Precisely for this reason the Assembly has not yet been constituted. Precisely for this reason, institutions are not being formed. And while citizens face high prices, uncertainty and lack of perspective every day, they are offered only one thing, the cruelty of empty words and the boasting of 'strong positions'," she wrote.

She added that the country does not need voices that partners see as opponents and problems as opportunities for propaganda.

On Thursday on KTV's "60 Minutes", Vokrri said that one of the international diplomats is the head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav.
