The MP and vice-chair of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Vlora Çitaku, gave a speech inside the Assembly hall where several expatriates were present, and from where she requested that the constitutive session be called to continue.
At the moment when Çitaku was giving his speech, the acting president, Albulena Haxhiu, was also present.
The MP stated that "we are elected MPs here, but the doors are closed to us." At this moment, Haxhiu intervened, ironically saying "they are open, they are open."
"I'm glad they're open to you. The Assembly is not just an object, it's not a brick building, it's an institution. I was sitting on this bench the day Kosovo's Independence was declared. It took blood, sweat, and sacrifice for Kosovo to have institutions. We dare not act as if nothing is happening," said Çitaku, as a voice behind her called for the session to be called by the chairman, Avni Dehari.
