Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Vlora Çitaku said that if it were based on the way the Vetëvendosje Movement has treated the party she is a part of, the Parliament and other institutions, then she does not deserve any mercy.
"If we were to dictate our political actions by the way LVV has treated not only PDK, but also the Parliament and other institutions, they would not even deserve mercy," Çitaku said in "Interaktiv", adding that the refusal to co-govern with Vetëvendosje is neither spiteful nor personal.
She criticized the approach of the leader of the LVV, Albin Kurti, and the candidate for Speaker of the Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, in relation to the process of constituting the Assembly that today failed for the 20th time, describing it as contemptuous and not serious.
"It's not child's play. It's about the constitution of the country's most important institution. Kosovo is bigger than Kurti's ego and Haxhiu's ambitions," she added.
Çitaku said that PDK has shown willingness for dialogue and solutions, including in the meeting with Kurti, although the invitation for a meeting from the latter, according to her, was more of a call for rejection than for cooperation.
She emphasized that PDK leader Memli Krasniqi was the only one who met with all political factors.
"We will not vote for any member of the Kurti 2 Government. In order to constitute the Assembly, Kurti must reflect and give up his insistence on establishing a specific name for the Speaker of the Assembly," she said, among other things.
Çitaku stated that it is in the national interest for Kosovo to be governed differently from the last five years and that PDK remains committed to institutional responsibility.
