The interview process of 22 candidates for two positions of judge in the Constitutional Court has been completed in the premises of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, on this occasion six candidates were recommended for voting in the Assembly.
After the interview was completed, the Commission, upon scoring, decided to recommend to the Assembly for a vote the list of six successful candidates: Benina Kusari with 9.7 points, Emine Abdyli-Pozhari with 9.7 points, Flamur Mrasori with 9.5 points, Jorida Xhafaj with 9.2 points, Shpresa Emra with 9.1 points and Zahir Qerkini also with 9.1 points.
The special commission with this composition: Vigan Qorrolli - chairman of the commission, Arbërie Nagavci - deputy of the LVV, Arian Tahiri - deputy of the PDK, Armend Zemaj - deputy of the LDK, Slavko Simić - deputy of the LS, Besnik Tahiri - deputy AAK, Artan Asllani - MP of the Multinational Parliamentary Group, had concluded that 25 candidates meet the formal conditions for candidacy.
Also part of the commission were Arjeta Sadiku - Deputy Chair of the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC), Safet Hoxha from the Constitutional Court and Izudin Sagdati from the Consultative Council for Communities.
Ombudsman Naim Qelaj, although a member of the Commission, was absent from the review of applications and also from the interviewing of candidates.

The Assembly fails to elect the two Constitutional Court judges
We recall that in total 25 candidates had applied, namely: Vigan Rogova, Zahir Qerkini, Besart Belegu, Makfirete Krasniqi, Selman Ymeri, Avdylkader Muçaj, Elton Tota, Benina Kusari, Ramadan Gashi, Rafet Haxhaj, Shabi Idrizi, Shpresa Emra, Valbona Shala-Thaci, Suzana Gashi, Ardita Haxhnikaj-Demi, Novitet Nezaj, Alban Muriqi, Emine Abdyli-Pozhari, Nazmije Krasniqi-Jusufi, Perparim Kalo, Riza Krasniqi, Flamur Mrasori, Jorida Xhafaj, Islam Sllamniku and Bahrie Zaçaj.
In the interview process held on April 7 and 8, 22 candidates presented themselves, withdrawing from the race: Rafet Haxhaj, Nazmije Krasniqi-Jusufi and Riza Krasniqi. In the end, six candidates were recommended for voting. /Oath for Justice
