The Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi, met today with the representatives of student organizations, who he informed about the situation created in relation to EQAR.
According to the announcement from MEST, Minister Bytyqi has assured the student representatives that there is no problem regarding the recognition of Kosovo students' diplomas by the European Union. He said that the students' concerns are real and are mainly related to their will and commitment to depoliticize the education system in Kosovo and to guarantee quality development of Higher Education Institutions in Kosovo.
Always according to the announcement, the minister assured the students that they are on the same page and that their contribution is very important and special, so that together with civil society and all other mechanisms, they can monitor the work of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency and evaluate its independence. of the operation of this Agency.
On this occasion, Minister Bytyqi informed the students about all the steps that the Ministry is taking to make the most of the 90-day period, as a right to appeal, to return as part of EQAR and in the future the education system in Kosovo guarantees normal and qualitative development.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Bytyqi requested once again that the cooperation with the representatives of the student organizations be increased and strengthened, so that MEST is aware of every concern that the students have and together they can find solutions to the problems that have been created over the years in Higher Education Institutions in Kosovo.
