The annual budget of the Ministry of Defense for the first time will be over 100 million euros.
As the Vetëvendosje Movement has announced, the 2022-2024 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework approved at the Government Meeting foresees that, starting next year, the budget for the Ministry of Defense will be over 100 million euros.
"The Medium-Term Expenditure Framework 2022-2024 approved at the 10th meeting of the Government foresees that, starting next year, the annual budget of the Ministry of Defense for the first time will be over 100 million euros. The Kurti government's priority is to have a force ready for the defense of the country and to contribute to global peace and security", says the Vetëvendosje Movement.
The Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, said that the Government is committed to Kosovo having a modern Army with NATO standards.
"The modern force, well equipped and with members with conditions similar to those of NATO countries, is my commitment as Minister of Defense. With the significant increase in the budget, the Kurti Government shows its commitment to Kosovo having a modern Army with NATO standards, an Army ready for the defense of the country and contributing to global peace and security. The future is NATO", wrote the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj on Facebook.
