Former Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati seems very pessimistic about Albania's membership in the European Union.
Today, on the 15th anniversary of the entry into the EU of 10 countries from Central and Eastern Europe, Bushati says that the acceptance of the Western Balkan countries into the union seems very distant.
"Today marks the 15th anniversary of the 'Big Bang' enlargement of the European Union with 10 Central and Eastern European countries. A historic achievement after the Cold War. 15 years later, the admission of the Western Balkan countries to the EU seems quite distant, not yet overcome the economic and social gaps. Unfinished business," Bushati wrote in a post on Twitter.
