"Sunny Coast" on the ground for 12 hours, KEDS hopes to fix the defect soon

After 22:30 on Friday, the residents of the neighborhood "Bregu i Diellit" have been left without electricity.

According to the spokesperson of KEDS, Viktor Buzhala, this part of Pristina has remained in the ground for more than 12 hours due to a defect.

"There is a defect. KEDS is doing its best to supply electricity to the consumers of that part. But, at the moment when it is released, the KOSTT transformer is reacting", Buzhala told KOHEN.

According to Buzhala, problems with electricity have been detected only in that district of the capital, as the teams are still working there.

"We hope soon", he answered about the time when the problem can be fixed and the electricity restored.

"The teams have been there all night and continue to be there doing their best to return as soon as possible", added Buzhala.

KOSTT was also clarified later. According to them, the defect came as a result of increased consumption. 

"Citizens are informed that the obstacles in the supply of electricity in Pristina, namely in the Sunshine Coast, are a consequence of the increase in consumption, which has influenced the appearance of some defects in the distribution network of the 10kV voltage level, which are also reflected in the system of transmission. The professional teams of KEDS and KOSTT are currently analyzing the situation and are consulting for the fastest solution to the situation.
