The Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Bërnabiq, has said that the formation of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo is a "condition of all conditions" for the continuation of the dialogue between the two countries. She stated that the Association should not be "as some think" as a non-governmental organization.
Mentioning the barricades in the north of the country, which were allegedly erected by people with a criminal past and armed, Bërnabiq said that it was the most difficult period "that was passed thanks to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić".
"Prishtina has no interest in establishing the Association, and in my opinion, neither does it want to implement the signed agreements. This is a condition of all conditions, but not asisi as any non-governmental organization from Serbia, from Kosovo and Metohia or any politician thinks, but an Association according to the agreements of 2013 and 2015", she said on Friday, in the 100th anniversary of her Government.
On Friday, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said that the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority would be the beginning of a "Serbian Republic" in Kosovo.
