Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) MP, Bekë Berisha, has requested permission for a debate in the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.

Entering the Assembly building for the 36th attempt to constitute the ninth legislature, Berisha said that continuing the session without reaching a solution has lost its meaning.

He said that the Assembly's rules of procedure should be violated and debate should be allowed during the constitutive session and efforts should be made to find a way out of the political crisis.

"Everything has lost its meaning. We have become hostages and are calling on the law. We are telling these people that you are violating the Constitution and we have become hostages to a rule that does not allow you to speak. In parliamentarianism, you have to speak and solve problems. You have to make an effort to break a rule and start communicating. The way we are, where we have to go back and forth 35 times after 48 hours, has really lost its meaning. Maybe after they try with understanding from all political parties to come together and see how we can find a way out, maybe even break a rule," he said./KP
