The Mayor of the Municipality of Mitrovica, Bedri Hamza, has been infected with COVID-19.
The news about his infection was given by Hamza himself through a post on Facebook, where he said that after the test, he tested positive for the coronavirus for the second time today, even though he was vaccinated with both doses of the vaccine.
Hamza further announced that he has isolated himself and is continuing his activities as the mayor of the municipality from home.
"Even though I was vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine, after the appearance of some mild symptoms, I was tested and tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time. I am in self-isolation and I am continuing the activities from home, in coordination with the vice-president and municipal directors", announced Hamza.
The data of the Ministry of Health announce that only during the last 24 hours, 2.050 citizens have tested positive for COVID-19 out of a total of 9.194 tests performed.
