The Prosecutor's Office is activated after KOHA reported on the works at the building where AAK was headquartered

Police raided the offices of the Ministry of Agriculture on Thursday, a day after KOHĖS reported that the institution paid 66 euros to remove inventory from the building, which housed the headquarters of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo. A video shows that some of the spaces had no inventory at all. According to the Special Prosecution, officials from this ministry are suspected of abuse of official position, fraud and forgery of documents.

Authorities have been activated, a day after KOHA reported that the state had paid 66 thousand euros to remove inventory from the Ministry of Agriculture building, in part of which the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) had its headquarters.

On Thursday, this ministry was raided by the Police.

According to the announcement of the Special Prosecution Office, the investigations have been authorized by the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption (DHKEK) with the aim of collecting and securing evidence to clarify the circumstances.

"Ministry officials, according to the announcement, are suspected of involvement in the criminal offenses of 'Abuse of official position', 'Abuse and fraud in public procurement' and 'Forgery of documents'," the Special Prosecution Office announced.

KOHA has reported that 66 thousand euros from the state budget have been given to a consortium to remove the inventory from the building located in "Ulpiana", where AAK has been headquartered for years.
The ministry paid 2 euros to remove furniture from each of the building's 33 spaces, including the halls, corridors, and bathrooms on the second floor and the basement. A video shows that the stairwells, as well as those in the basement, were cleaned and that there was no furniture in them.

Authorities have not named the suspected officials, but the contract manager, with the initials BD, was seen escorted by police officers.

Documents that investigators have extracted were also seen at the Ministry's headquarters.

KOHA requested 10 days ago from the Ministry of Agriculture to be allowed access to the facility to closely observe the works that have been carried out there and to verify the factual situation on the ground, but there has been no response to this.

And, in the videos provided, it can be seen that the basement that was part of the renovation contract, although not used by AAK, was cleaned before this party left the building and that there was no inventory in it.

The same amount of 2 thousand euros was also given for toilets that do not have an inventory, and in addition, for each of them, a payment was also made for the demolition of sanitary elements. For one of them alone, 1 thousand 500 euros were paid.

The contract worth 359 thousand euros was signed with the consortium consisting of the companies "Limit Projekt" and "Lurn". Based on it, in addition to the removal of furniture, renovation of about 600 square meters must be carried out and interventions must be made on the roof.

In addition, an annex contract worth around 9 thousand euros was signed. The reason for this, according to the Ministry, were errors in the measurements made by the designer.
