Kosovo and the Bahamas have signed an agreement for the mutual abolition of visas, enabling the free movement of citizens of both countries.
President Vjosa Osmani announced that the agreement was signed by Kosovo's Ambassador to the US, Ilir Dugolli, and the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Philip Davis, today in Washington.
The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, emphasized that this agreement constitutes an important step in strengthening bilateral relations.
"The agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas on the mutual abolition of visas for citizens of both countries was just signed. Another good news and a further step in strengthening bilateral relations after the recent recognition of Kosovo by the Bahamas," Gërvalla wrote.
On December 19, the Bahamas became the 121st country to recognize Kosovo's Independence.
The Bahamas is an island located in the Caribbean and has 400 inhabitants.
