Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has honored Halit Konushevci, the father of the nation's hero, Ilir Konushevci, with the "Skenderbeu Medal".
This honor was given on the 20th anniversary of the fall of Ilir Konushevci.
"I honored Baca Hali with the "Skenderbeu Medal" in memory of his son, the son of Kosovo, Ilir Konushevci, on the 20th anniversary of the fall. Iliri is with us because he lived our freedom", wrote Haradinaj in a publication made on the social network Facebook.
Ilir Konushevci was one of the founders of KLA and fellow fighter of Zahir Pajaz and Hakif Zejnullah. He was killed in an ambush on May 9, 1998, together with the doctor from Tropoja, Hazir Mala.
