The Kosovo Agency of Statistics has published preliminary data on births, deaths, marriages and divorces for the month of March 2026, showing an increase in the number of births and deaths compared to the previous month.
According to ASK, a total of 2,314 births were registered in and outside Kosovo during March. Of these, 1,211 babies were born male, while 1,103 were female. Compared to February, the number of births has increased by about 15.6 percent.
In the same period, 932 deaths were recorded, of which 524 were male and 408 were female. KAS announced that the number of deaths increased by 3.4 percent compared to February.
Meanwhile, a total of 932 coronations were recorded during March, marking a decrease of 3.8 percent compared to the previous month.
Also, 133 divorce cases were registered in Kosovo, which represents a decrease of 1.5 percent compared to February 2026.
According to KAS, these data were published based on administrative data provided by the Kosovo Civil Registry Agency.
