Anusic responds to Serbia about Kosovo: The time when Croatia asked Belgrade is over

Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anusic has reacted to a statement by the Serbian Foreign Ministry on the military alliance agreement between Kosovo, Albania and Croatia. The Serbian ministry called the agreement a "provocation" and said it would send an urgent request to the Croatian and Albanian Foreign Ministries to ask for a detailed explanation regarding it.

Anusic clearly responded that the time when Croatia asked Belgrade has passed and will never return.

"The time has passed when Croatia asked Belgrade what it was allowed to do and how it should do it, and this will never happen again. We have been an independent state for 35 years, we have gone through five years of aggression and politics that defended such a narrative. Croatia will sign declarations with whoever it wants and cooperation with Albania and Kosovo is focused on the exchange of knowledge, cooperation between military industries and support for the Euro-Atlantic path of Albania and Kosovo," he wrote on the X platform.

On March 18, Kosovo, Albania and Croatia signed the Tripartite Declaration on Military Alliance. The memorandum aims to promote cooperation in building defense capacities and the defense industry, increasing interoperability through education, training and exercises, countering hybrid threats and strengthening strategic resilience, and providing full support for Euro-Atlantic integration and regional defense.
