University professor in the Czech Republic, Florin Aliu, considers the increase in the minimum wage to 500 euros as a suitable proposal. In the show "Konfront" on KTV, he emphasized that he does not agree with the statements that the minimum wage of 500 euros would increase unemployment.
According to him, this puts pressure on other salaries to increase and he asked that the opposition also support such a thing.
"Why would a minimum wage of 500 euros increase unemployment? In Albania, in January, the minimum wage was already 560 euros. This increases the motivation to work because, after all, economic development comes from motivation to work and professionalism. Everything is related to the salary. Responsibility for work, professionalism. When the salary is low, you are no longer motivated to work. I don't understand why the proposal for this increase in the minimum wage was opposed. This also puts pressure on other salaries. These are some reforms that should be taken. The opposition should also support this. This has also encouraged departure from Kosovo. People from Kosovo have left for a higher salary," Aliu declared on the "Konfront" show on KTV.
At the meeting of the acting government held at the end of October, it was decided to increase the minimum wage, from the current 350 euros, to 425 from January and to 500 euros from July.
The incumbent government approved and then proceeded to the Assembly, the Draft Budget for next year, which also foresees the 13th salary for public employees, an increase in the minimum pension and child allowances.
