Indictment against six people for the case of the girl from Drenas

The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pristina, Department for Minors, has filed an indictment against six defendants with the initials Sh.Gj., VV, GH, FC, IR, and HH, due to the suspicion of abuse in the case of the girl from Drenas.

In the press release it is stated that the same have committed the criminal offenses "Sexual abuse by misusing the position, authority or profession", "Encouraging sexual acts with false promise of marriage", "Inducing the unauthorized termination of pregnancy" and "Intimidation during criminal procedure".

The prosecution announces that the defendant Sh.Gj. is charged with the criminal offense of "Sexual abuse by abusing the position, authority or profession", from Article 239 paragraph 1 point 1.3 of the KPRK and the criminal offense of "Inciting sexual acts with the promise of false marriage", from Article 240 of the KPRK.

The defendant VV is charged with the criminal offenses "Sexual abuse by misusing the position, authority or profession", from article 239 paragraph 1 point 1.3 of the KPRK and "Inducing the unauthorized termination of pregnancy", from article 148 paragraph 2 related with paragraph 1 and related to article 32 paragraph 1 of the KPRK.

The defendant GH is charged with the criminal offenses "Sexual abuse by misusing the position, authority or profession", from article 239 paragraph 1 point 1.3 of the KPRK and "Intimidation during criminal proceedings", from article 395 of the KPRK.

Meanwhile, the defendants FC, IR, and HH are charged with the criminal offense of "Sexual abuse by misusing the position, authority or profession", from article 239 paragraph 2 point 2.3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. The case was processed in Court.

We remind you that the lawyer Gazmend Halilaj was the one who publicized the case of the girl from Drenas who was reported to have been sexually abused first by a teacher, then by the investigating police to whom the victim had gone to present the case, and by the gynecologist where the victim had an abortion.
