Monday was Shpend Ahmet's last day of work as mayor of the Municipality of Pristina. Tomorrow, he will hand over the task to the elected president, Parparim Rama.
Ahmeti was in charge of Pristina for two terms. In both he was elected under the VV logo, but in the last three years he left this party
And, Ahmeti has made a summary of the 8-year work as mayor and the general conclusion according to him is that "life in the city has significantly improved".
After enumerating the projects that were realized during his time as chairman, he also spoke a little about the problems.
"Does it mean that these are enough! Of course not. There is a problem with construction and planning, there is a problem with being a wanderer and with traffic. There will be a problem in 2025 and 2029 because we always have to look for improvement, even though the financial opportunities are small. But the important thing is that today we live a much better life because of the improvements in the last eight years in every field. Now there should be even more improvements", he wrote.
