Ahmeti is criticized for the low level of expenses in capital investments

Fifty-eight million euros for capital investments is available to the Municipality of Pristina this year.

But, for six months, this department of the capital, according to the municipality's financial report, has spent only four million euros from this category.

Mayor Shpend Ahmeti justifies the low level of expenses for capital investments with the damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, KOHA reports.

However, the opposition estimates that the impossibility to spend the budget according to the plans is a problem that has followed the municipality in the past years and not only during the pandemic.

The Vetëvendosje movement criticizes Mayor Ahmeti for poor project management.

However, the Democratic League of Kosovo considers the stagnation in capital investments to be worrying.

The financial report for the second quarter, which was discussed at the last meeting of the Municipal Assembly, also shows a 50 percent decrease in revenues compared to the same period last year.
