AGK condemns the denigrating campaign of the Municipality of Pristina against Saranda Ramaj and KTV

The Association of Journalists of Kosovo has condemned the denigrating campaign of the members of the Municipality of Pristina and its mayor Përparim Rama towards the journalist of the KOHA group, Saranda Ramaj and Kohavision, after the publication of reports on the exchange of properties in Badoc.

AGK has considered the attacks against journalist Ramaj and KTV as an orchestrated campaign. He invited the Municipality of Prishtina to distance himself from such language.

Progress Rama in a series of interviews has accused KOHA of "disinformation", while the Director of Urbanism in the Municipality of Prishtina, Doruntina Maloku, has also made serious accusations. In the hearing of the annulment of the decision, Maloku attacked the KOHA group several times, saying among other things: 'Does this mean that there was an interest in passing this point or only after this was made public by certain media for purposes that completely serve the interests group and business policy'. Meanwhile, several Facebook accounts, opened recently, have posted derogatory statuses for the journalist Ramaj, defending Rama and the Municipality of Pristina. These attacks and this language are unacceptable, and AGK invites the Municipality of Pristina to distance itself, and to offer an official and institutional response to all the claims raised", says the reaction of AGK.

Last week, KOHA reported that three years ago, the mayor of the municipality, Përparim Rama, had clients who owned more than 8 hectares of land in Badoc, where the construction of a neighborhood was planned. The project was stopped while Lumir Abdixiku was minister. But at the end of December, at Rama's proposal and with the help of Vetëvendosje assembly members who made the quorum, the Municipal Assembly decided to exchange it with another property almost three times larger in the Pristina e Re area. The Ministry of Local Government Administration issued the legality, but later withdrew it.

The Basic Court in Pristina on Tuesday decided to postpone the execution of the decision on the exchange of properties.
