"Prime Minister Kurti, accompanied by government cabinet ministers, will pay a working visit to North Macedonia on Monday. There will be a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, with whom they will discuss bilateral relations, regional cooperation and infrastructure projects of interest to the two states", said Kryeziu in a written response.

The Government of Kosovo has not announced on Sunday whether during the official visit that it will make to North Macedonia on Monday, Prime Minister Albin Kurti will also raise the issue of the diplomatic scandal with President Vjosa Osmani at the Skopje Airport.

In an answer to TIME, the spokesperson of the Government, Pëparim Kryeziu, confirmed the visit and spoke in general terms about the topics that will be discussed during the visit.

"Prime Minister Kurti, accompanied by government cabinet ministers, will pay a working visit to North Macedonia on Monday. There will be a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia with whom they will discuss bilateral relations, regional cooperation and infrastructural projects of interest to the two states", said Kryeziu in a written response.

On Friday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (MPJD) on Friday sent a note of protest to North Macedonia, asking for the fastest and most complete clarifications about the incident at the Skopje Airport.

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Osmani faced inappropriate and illegal treatment by the security of the Skopje Airport.

"Minister Gërvalla has submitted a note of protest to the authorities of North Macedonia, demanding an immediate and complete clarification of this incident. At the same time, it has been requested that the Macedonian authorities take immediate measures to investigate this case and to ensure that such events do not repeat in the future", the Ministry's announcement states.

President Osmani, according to the announcement, which was given on Thursday night by the Presidency, there was an attempt to take her phone from the security of the Skopje Airport on Thursday. As stated in the announcement, Osmani tried to physically push him.

The presidency also issued a statement on Friday, in which it expressed its indignation for the statements it called unacceptable by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia, as well as for what it called propaganda against Kosovo.

"Instead of an apology, yesterday and today the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia fully justified the request of the airport security to take and place in the scanner the personal phone of the president of the Republic of Kosovo, which is used by the head of state for official communications on matters of national security", the response states, among other things. "The president has rightly refused such a thing, based on the advice she has been receiving for years from the security institutions themselves."

Prime Minister Kurti did not react to the incident. And, the Government has said that his visit to North Macedonia was scheduled before the incident at the Skopje Airport.

"The realization of this visit was agreed on July 20", said the spokesperson Kryeziu.

After the note of protest, the Foreign Ministry of North Macedonia has expressed regret for the incident. In one of its reactions, it was emphasized that the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Kosovo maintain positive and constructive bilateral relations and cooperation, and it was warned that after all the information is collected, the Ministry will take the necessary measures so that such cases do not recur.
