Rrahman Jasharaj, SBASHK, Kurti Government

The President of the United Union of Education, Science and Culture (SBASHK), Rrahman Jasharaj, has asked the Ministry of Education that the supply of textbooks this year be done by MASHTI, sending the textbooks to schools. He had opposed last year's decision of the minister Arbërie Nagavci for parents to buy the textbooks and then be reimbursed through the e-Kosova platform.

SBASHK announced on Thursday that Jasharaj met with the Deputy Minister of Education, Taulant Kelmendi, with whom they discussed the teachers' demands and the possibility of their realization.

The union announced on Facebook that the head of the trade union asked for an increase in the coefficient for teachers and that all demands be met. In the communiqué it was said that Kelmendi has promised to carefully examine them.

"The chairman of SBAHSK, Mr. Rrahman Jasharaj, requested from Kelmendi that such meetings between MASHTI and the Union take place more often because according to him, in this way the demands of the teachers can be met and the current problems in education can be solved. Mayor Jasharaj requested that the supply of textbooks this year be done by MESTI by sending the textbooks to schools, as well as to have new books for all students of primary and lower secondary level, i.e. from grades 1 to 9", it is said. in the communique.

There it was announced that MEST is making preparations for the new school year.
