Gërvalla in Canada: Kosovo in NATO strengthens peace and security in the region

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, said that Kosovo's membership in NATO strengthens peace and security in the region. 

During her official visit to Canada, where she was received by Senator Peter Boehm, chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the Senate of Canada, they talked about the security and importance of Kosovo's membership in this organization "as a key to the security of the region" .

"Gërvalla emphasized that the integration of Kosovo into the Euro-Atlantic structures will contribute to strengthening peace and security, improving the defense capacities of the country and offering a stable support to the security challenges in the Western Balkans", says the announcement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here. 

It is said that the meeting also discussed the increase in economic cooperation between the two friendly countries.

"The two sides expressed the desire to expand the opportunities of investments and trade exchanges, creating favorable conditions for economic growth and sustainable development", the announcement further states.
