The European Union office in Pristina has reacted to the murder of a woman from Peja on Tuesday, by her husband. 

The head of this office, Tomas Szunyog, has said that Kosovo must undertake urgent actions for the protection of victims of violence. 

Through a post on the X platform, Szunyogu has stated that among the measures that must be taken are quick investigations, timely trials and effective punishments. 

"Today we woke up to the shocking news of another femicide. Kosovo must undertake urgent and decisive actions to ensure: prevention and protection of women victims of violence, quick investigations, timely trial of cases and effective punishment", he wrote.
