Osmani for the murder of the pregnant woman: Femicide must end

President Vjosa Osmani has reacted after the murder of a pregnant woman, who was shot on Wednesday night by her husband, with whom she was in the process of separation, in front of the Gynecology Clinic at KKUK.

"Tonight, the whole of Kosovo mourns for the woman who did not manage to become a mother, for the lost daughter, for the life that ended unjustly. Tonight we mourn for the unborn life that never breathed, for the life that never came to life," Osmani wrote on Facebook.

According to her, this is another macabre and inhumane crime.

"Another 'man' who cannot be called a human being, but who took the life of a woman and a child who would become a mother's joy and life. Tonight the words are missing, they have been replaced by despair. Tonight it is difficult to think that there is hope!", Osmani wrote.

According to her, today hope and faith are more necessary than ever. "This criminal wave and this femicide against women must end. We are on trial not only as a state, but also as a society. There are no more justifications. The life of girls and women, like that of every citizen of ours, is sacred", wrote Osmani.

According to her, the answer to murderers should be law and order.

"No more girls and women is a national call for all of us. The answer for rapists, abusers and murderers is law and order and maximum punishment. Our debt to the victims of violence, unborn lives and lives cut short is one and only: Justice!", Osmani wrote.
