After the strike warnings from SBASHK, Nagavci meets with the Parents' Council

The Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, met on Thursday with the representatives of the Council of Parents of Kosovo, headed by the chairman Jeton Demi. In this meeting, the necessary preparations for the start of the new school year 2022/2022 and the right of students to continue their studies without any obstacles were discussed, the Ministry announced on Facebook.

According to the announcement, Nagavci said that the department he leads is ready to cooperate with all actors.

"On this occasion, Minister Nagavci has said that the Ministry of Education is committed to cooperating closely with all actors, including the Parents' Council of Kosovo, taking into account the importance of the role of parents in all processes in education. Minister Nagavci and the president of the Council of Parents of Kosovo, Jeton Demi, agreed that every reasonable and substantiated request should be pushed forward, so that this Council is as effective as possible in performing its duties and responsibilities", the announcement states. of the ministry.

This meeting of Nagavci with the representatives of the Council of Parents took place on the same day when the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (BSPK) announced a general strike of employees due to the non-realization of their demands by the Government of Kosovo.

The President of the Education Union (SBASHK), Rrahman Jasharaj, has said that despite the decision, the doors are open to invite the strike council and reach an agreement.

According to him, the key point to make the agreement with the Kurti government is to start with 100 euros of support until the Law on Wages is approved.
