The government imposes new anti-COVID measures

The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, has announced that the Government of Kosovo in today's meeting has decided on the new anti-Covid measures.

Vitia has said that the measures taken a few weeks ago have proven vital in managing the situation with COVID-19.

He announced that in addition to some measures that do not change, it has been decided that starting from September 27, teaching in schools and work in kindergartens will begin.

According to him, the pre-university learning process takes place according to the relevant scenario, but as he said, the prerequisite is the presence of no more than 20 students in the class.

As for the operation of the gastronomy, Vitia said that according to the new measures, the staff and customers must have the vaccine or a negative test.

"From September 27, it is allowed to use 50% of closed spaces and up to 70% of open spaces. As for shopping centers and other centers, they must possess the certificates mentioned above, these are also valid in public and private institutions and businesses that work with parties", said Vitia.

He once again called for vaccination, adding that Kosovo has so far administered over 1 million and 200 doses of the vaccine.
