28 years since the blood feud reconciliation initiative

On February 2, 1990, with Anton Cetta at the forefront in Kosovo, the patriotic and humanitarian blood donation action began, which took on large proportions, spreading throughout the country, whose effects are still felt today.

This is considered as the most organized and fruitful year of the Albanian nation that went down in history as the year of unity and reconciliation of the Albanian people wherever they lived, within ethnic and diaspora lands.

Not much time had passed since the formation of the Nationwide Movement in response to Milosevic's self-appointment as king of all the Serbs in Kosovo, the closing of schools, poisoning, the closing of the university, newspapers and other means of information, the awakening of national consciousness was without avoidable.

This movement was named as the Democratic League of Kosovo and Dr. Ibrahim Rugova was elected as Chairman. Rugova had close to him people known as patriots. Nobody fought for Bajraktarism, but for the homeland, writes KosovaPress.

This healthy youth without hesitation gave the wheel of reconciliation to Prof. Anton Çetta and other professors from the Albanian Institute, intellectuals everywhere, academics, workers and peasants, activists from all over our ethnic lands.

People at that time in charge with Prof. Anton Çettan, they marched in front of hundreds of teams of professors, students, activists, singers and poets... reconciling the people, reconciling those who until yesterday were enemies, to become friends and brothers. The heroes of this national action were undoubtedly those who forgave.

They prayed for the hatred of the homeland. In these grand gatherings that were organized all over Kosovo and other ethnic areas, such as in Kaçanik and Lug te Drini, Rrafsh te Dukagjini en'Verra te Lluke, in Shala and Karadak, in Llap, Drenica and Gollak, in Has, Reke, Podrime, Lapushë, Podgur e Rugovë, Rrafsh i Kosova and everywhere, and everywhere in the other years, showed that for our people and homeland there was a crisis in the greatest hour of our history. We continue to have forgiveness of blood even now.
