It has been 26 years since Serbian criminal forces killed 116 Albanians in Studime, Vushtrri.
They were pulled out of the column of hundreds of people who had set off for Albania.
They were executed in front of their families.
Soldiers and paramilitaries had wandered up and down the tractor column, looting and killing.
A witness told HRW how their son, who had been married that same day, was killed in front of their eyes.
"When they came to my tractor, there were three people there: my son, Adnani, Eshref Rashica and Ismeti. They grabbed Ismet first, took him off the tractor and started beating him. They killed him. It was no more than three or four meters away. Then they came and took my son. They grabbed him by the right arm and shot him on the other side of the road. I went after them, but they shot me, hit me and I fell to the ground", he testified. "I heard when they shot. There were two krismas. I saw him lying on the ground. They shot him in the back."
The Serbs were not satisfied with this. The next day they found a 13-member family that had stayed at home and had not shown mercy to Vushtrri. They had executed the whole thing.
