2500 euros per square meter of housing, the opposition blames Rama for the lack of a Development Plan

Prishtina has many buildings that are either recently built or under construction.

The Statistics Agency of Kosovo, in the data published at the end of last year, states that the number of residential buildings in the capital has significantly increased.

There are market experts who think that with the increase in demand, the price per square meter has also increased, up to 80 percent.

In Ulpiana, Lakërisë, Dardani or anywhere else in the center area, the price per square meter goes up to 2.500 euros.

Economist Jakup Bellaqa says that due to the great demand, the price of residential units has also increased.

But how is it possible to have so much demand, when according to KAS, a significant number of them are uninhabited.

Leutrim Retkoceri from PDK is blaming the municipality for not voting on the Development Plan.

He says that this is also happening because of the construction without criteria that is being done in the capital.

The capital city has not had a Development Plan since 2012 and none of the recent governments have been able to pass it to the Municipal Assembly.
