Kosovo is moving towards the end of the pandemic

Almost 3 months when Kosovo had the first confirmed cases of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours in the 138 tests of the IKSHPK, no person has tested positive.

However, at the Infectious Diseases Clinic, 11 patients infected with Covid-19 continue to be treated, KOHA reports.

4 of them are in serious health condition and in intensive treatment. Among them is a patient with oxygen therapy, but who has no other accompanying diseases.

"That everyone is over 60 years old. Three of these who are in serious condition, also have other accompanying diseases", said Shemsedin Dreshaj, infectious disease specialist.

The decrease in the number of Covid-19 cases in recent days, according to infectious disease experts, is an indication that the pandemic is coming to an end.

"Similarly to the countries of the region, we are also heading towards the end of the pandemic, although with the easing of measures, other cases can be expected", Dreshaj added.

According to the data of the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo, of the 1032 people who have so far been confirmed as infected with COVID-19, 789 have recovered and 29 others have died.
