The Organization of KLA War Veterans, branches of Dukagjin, has reacted after the publication of the names of the "fraudulent" veterans, saying that the indictment and the names that were published show how ridiculous and unprofessional the work of the Prosecutor's Office is, reports Koha. nights.

The KLA War Veterans Organization, which includes Deçan, Peja, Gjakova and Istog, through a communique, has written that even 19 years after the end of the war, we freedom fighters want the persecution to stop.

"The witch hunt, which began immediately after the war by international missions, is now being continued by local factors: the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo and the media. The indictment and the names that were published show how ridiculous and unprofessional the work of the Prosecutor's Office is, and also how unprofessional and tendentious is the presentation of all this by the electronic and written media. As for the ZO of Dukagjin, the inclusion in the list of almost most of the most distinguished fighters, shows that this list is only a fabrication, in the wake of the special war against the Kosovo Liberation Army. Without a shred of shame, not looking at whether they hurt the feelings of the fighters, the presentation in some media of the war veterans, who sacrificed the most for our freedom, as "fraudulent veterans", except that it is manipulation with the citizens, is the most insulting hard for all the fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who with their activity enabled the creation of a democratic state and freedom of expression. We were shocked when we saw that such information, supposedly fabricated, turned into figures that the fighters allegedly damaged the state budget. From all this, we conclude that this indictment and the way it was presented to the public is just a circus, to which we will respond with thousands of lawsuits, both for the former prosecutor and for some media that hurt our feelings and played with our dignity and integrity as fighters. The Liberation War and the removal of the occupier with a rifle is our life's achievement. We urgently request that the Law on the Protection of War Values be passed as soon as possible in the Parliament of Kosovo, so that these phenomena do not appear again in the future", the communiqué states.

The OVL of the UÇK, the branches in Deçan, Pejë, Gjakovë and Istog, once again demand the stopping of this dangerous and anti-historical trend against the Liberation War, since the consequences can be unpredictable.
